Sew Sensory specializes in custom-made sensory therapeutic tools: weighted vests, weighted blankets, compression/deep pressure vests, weighted lap pads, weighted shoulder wraps, and sensory exploration toys.

The weighted gear is ALL custom made.  I do have assorted vests and blankets that are pre-made which may be found in the 'Premade" section.

Sensory therapy products, in conjuction with knowledge and professional guidance, are essential for treating and making accommodations for children with sensory processing disorders/developmental delays.

All of my products are handmade and sewn with the utmost care and attention.  I use only top quality fabrics and high-grade fill materials.

Research has found that deep pressure touch stimulation (DPTS) releases serotonin, a chemical in the brain that works as a neurotransmitter in the regulation of mood, sleep and sensory perception. Weighted blankets/vests mimic DPTS and thus have a calming and soothing effect
